The next step never varies, whether the project is for the internet, intranet, extranet, DVD, CD-ROM, with or without a content management system: We evaluate all the data from the first phase and develop a detailed concept of all project components. At the same time, we define and prepare online media and marketing activities.
This is a perfect time to prepare a functional specification so the project can be implemented at arm's length with the right partners and the customer's IT department.
Alongside the technical structure, you have to pay close attention to communicational and strategic aspects. When reality bytes engineers a communication concept, it delivers a creative, targeted design of the online platform or disc along with user-friendly structures. All the while strictly following all applicable corporate design policies.
The screen/interface design – often created at the same time as the functional design – gives rise to the finished pages and Flash environments. If the project calls for a content management system, your page templates are designed by highly trained and experienced experts.
Other project phases are completed simultaneously to enhance productivity: While the Creativity department refines the screen design, the Technology people are already developing the underlying modules, database designs, applications or system interfaces. We don't put up our feet once the website goes online. Instead, this time is used for follow-up work: Documentation is completed and page content is updated daily if agreed. The pages can be enhanced and expanded as the customer's needs change.
If the customer has content, asset or knowledge management systems or e-business modules in place, we provide effective project-specific training so the employees can use the software packages on their own. Even after launching an online project, reality bytes remains the go-to contact for all present and future website matters and online communication needs.
